The First requirement for entry into China is to have a Visitor's or Tourist L Visa, which will be valid for 90 days from the date of issue. The visa allows you to stay in China for a maximum of 30 days unless it is stated otherwise on the visa. The application form can be downloaded from the Chinese Embassy, or the CVACS (Chinese Visa Application Service Centre) where you can also complete the form online. Once the form has been completed, print the form out along with a copy of the Payment Authorisation Form and Applications by post check list. Post them via Special Delivery Envelope if you live in England or Wales, (Visa fees including Admin fee is £82.88). If you live in Scotlan download the Visa Application form from the Edinburgh Consulate. The fee for the visa is £30 in cash; this is for a single entry visa, for a multiple entry visa please visit the Chinese Embassy web site. Your visa is usually issued within four working days.

If you would prefer to use a third party to do the leg work for you, use the services of China Visa Direct Limited, send them your application form, passport photographs and passport with the fee of £100. Send the form and your passport, photograph(s) with the required fees by recorded delivery; this service usually takes approximately seven to ten working days, which may suit the majority of people. Travelling to Nanning and China

The most effecient way of travelling to Nanning and China are via several routes you can take, if you are flying from the United Kingdom or from any major European City, flights are available to Beijing, Hong Kong or Guangzhou. This is dependant on which route is the most convenient and cost effective for you at the time of booking.

You can always fly to Beijing or Hong Kong and get a connecting flight on to Nanning, or you can take the bus from Hong Kong.

If finances are not a problem it would be better to fly to Hong Kong, spend a few days acclimatising there and then fly on to Nanning. Try changing your dates of travel as you will be amazed at the difference in the cost of your flights. Good hunting.
